Parul University President Takes Affirmative Action To Further Quality Education.

Education Education

There is no bad student, there only a bad teacher!”

In light of the recently published movie “Hitchki” that acted as a symbol for the inspiration of many, including the Parul University President Vadodara who took the initiative of organizing a community of the movie centered on the agenda of ensuring that the teachers under his wings got the opportunity to learn how to be best teachers. The message he gave is, by all means, remarkable and stands as a true sentiment of what our Indian education system should stand for, this is, by all means, the best expression of student-teacher relationship. The viewing of Hitcki was attended by m0re than 600 lecturers along with their family, so as to further this great agenda the message given by the president of the University Dr Devanshu J Patel is as follows:

“A child can be born tall, another can be born short. A child can be born light skinned, and another can be born dark skinned. Above all, a child can be born without an arm or a leg, or any form of disability, while another is born with every ability. In other words, every child is born under different circumstances, and in different ways. Therefore, no child on this earth has ever been able to choose the condition which he or she wishes to be born in. The same can be said about the students we have in our classrooms, they are all different, not because they choose to be different but simply because they are born in different unique ways.

The differences these children may have might lead the rest of the world into believing that they are incapable of achieving anything in life. But as a teacher, the moment you open your eyes, you should never see these children in the same way the world sees them, rather you need to look at them with an eye filled with optimism, as well as a heart filled with hope and inspiration. An eye that overlooks what the child looks like, an eye that sees beyond the background of the student, or even what the society thinks about him or her.

You may ask why this is of great importance. The answer is quite simple, just like a small lion cub is born with no idea of how to hunt, the only way it gets to learn how to hunt is when the mother takes it into the jungle and shows it the way, if the mother fails to teach the cub, it will die of hunger. The same with the students who come under our care as teachers, they are born with no knowledge of this world. He or she has no idea of the amount of strength and ability that lies within, and their future will simply die out, locked inside them. This is the main reason why the most fundamental role in the future or the life of any human being is played by us teachers, we are the ones who unveil the hidden unique talent, which brings value to each and every single student.

Everything I have said comes from a single word, and the word is Acceptance. This word should be the main ethic that guides the way we teach our students as Parul University teachers, in each and every institute you may be coming from. When you possess acceptance, it means you are able to accept and accommodate every single student whom you teach and accept the unique value they all possess. Above all, you will develop the acceptance of your role and responsibility as a teacher in shaping the lives of the students who are come under your care. Accepting that there is no bad student, but only a bad teacher.

As we commemorate the third foundation day of Parul University, it is my deepest and most heartfelt desire, that you do not only watch this movie but you learn from it, so that your students may learn from you. Yours Dr Devanshu J Patel.”

The message truly inspired many of the teachings of the University, and i stand to believe that it is such positive initiatives that best lead to the highest level of progress and development within our nation, we need such forms affirmative action, and by all means, Hitchki brings depicts the best educational setting India should have.
