Chinese smartphone maker Vivo seems to be trying to expand its mid-range phone line-up if the latest rumours are to be believed. Two new mid-range Vivo handsets were spotted on the Chinese certification website TENAA. The model numbers of the two Vivo smartphones are V1803BA and V1730DT. The Chinese website’s certification has not only revealed the design of the two phones but also their specifications.
Both the smartphones vary very little in weight and dimension. Vivo V1803BA weighs 152 grams and its dimensions are 155.21 × 75.24 × 7.7 mm while Vivo V1730DT is a little lighter, weighing 149 grams. The dimensions of Vivo V1730DT are 154.81×75.03×7.89 mm.
It is rumoured that both these models will come with notches and a 6.2-inch HD+ display. As for the processors, they are going to be different. The V1803BA may come with an octa-core 2GHz SoC whereas the V1730DT will pack a lower-end variant which is an octa-core 1.8GHz CPU. Both the smartphone models are rumoured to come with same 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM.
The camera setup is also expected to be the same in both models with a 13MP + 2MP rear camera setup and an 8MP front one. Both the phones would come with 4G LTE, VoLTE, microSD and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The phones would run on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with Vivo’s own UI. A 3180mAh battery would power both the phones.
Vivo V1803BA is expected to be launched in Gold colour variant while V1730DT will come in more colour options like Champagne Gold, Rose Gold and Matte Black. The release date of the two new mid-range Vivo devices is not confirmed as of now.
